Born and breed California Girl, recently relocated to Seattle. Interests include geekery, photography, GOOD design, rock climbing, yoga, shiatsu, researching random crap on the internet, consuming good media, and attempting to decode social patterns.
Current areas of social internet phenomenon – blogging, vlogging, micro-blogging (twitter, jaiku), pico-blogging (pownce, tumblr), location-based social networking (britekite, dodgeball), aggregators (friendfeed) and the various communities that have and continue to evolve around the aspects of “social media”. Also, how technology has evolved to make self publication and self promotion more accessible.
I’m passionate about good design and intuitive usability. I’m hesitant to use the phrase “Interface Design” because I think that Interface Design, Information Architecture, and User Experience Design are concepts still in the process of being defined. Like the deltas between “Web 1.0″, “Web 2.0″ and “Web 3.0″ – the concepts have meaning and context, but seem to vary from person to person where one stops the next begins.
The only true constant is change.
- as will the ideas and opinions shared in this blog, as will the focus and viewpoint of the author, as will the technology du jour. Enjoy at your own risk.
Oh, and I also like food & movies. If that’s not painfully obvious…
